In the framework of the new IT, and from the point of view of operational and enterprise management, data mining is the set of analysis methods, expert analysts and computational systems that endow an organisation's information delivery with intelligence. Based on this, we can explain the role of data mining in the enterprise of the future. Evidently, information is an asset. But the great "added value" comes when we get an efficient criterion for decision making from this information. This talk give you a brief overview about data mining methods and how they are used in Database Marketing and CRM.
